Educational Adventures Beyond the Classroom

Plan an educational adventure like no other with HOSC's field trips. We offer an immersive learning experience that brings science to life for students of all ages. Our hands-on exhibits, interactive demonstrations, and engaging programs make each trip a memorable and enriching experience. Let your students explore the wonders of science in a dynamic and interactive setting that fosters curiosity and critical thinking.

Field Trip Options

We are tying all our exhibits and show offerings to TN State Education Standards to assist teachers in incorporating field trips directly into their curriculum so HOSC is more than just a day of fun away from the classroom!

Basic

$4/Student (15 student minimum)
Plan on 1-2 Hours
Includes exploration of the entire facility. 

Deluxe

$6.75/Student (15 student minimum)
Plan on 2-3 Hours
In addition to exploring the facility you get one of our 30-45 minute awesome science shows!

Overnight

$45/Student (15 student minimum)
4pm - 10am

What to know before booking

Reservations


Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance. Programs are filled to capacity, and there is a limit to daily school trip admissions. Dates and prices are subject to change.

Lunch Facilities

The HOSC can provide space, tables, and chairs for field trip lunches on a very limited basis and are first-come-first-served.  We have lunch table capacity for ~50 children inside and 50 outside so large groups may need to split eating times.  Requests for lunch space must be made in advance.
 

Group Admission Fees

(For groups of 15 or more!)

Standard Field Trip 

Students, Parents and Siblings are $4.00 each. Teachers and siblings under 3 are free!

Deluxe Field Trip

Students are $6.75 each, parents and siblings ar3 $4.00. Teachers and siblings under 3 are free! The deluxe field trip is available any day of the week from 8AM to 6PM. The deluxe field trip also comes with a spectacular science program for the kids to enjoy.  For groups of less than 50 HOSC reserves the right to combine multiple groups for the program.

Chaperones and Safety
For the safety of your students and other HOSC visitors, chaperones are required at a ratio of one adult to fifteen children. Chaperones must be at least 18 years old and are required to stay with and monitor the students. The supervision of groups is the responsibility of the teachers and chaperones. HOSC staff cannot – at any time – be held responsible for any youth in your group. Disruptive behavior, vandalism, and misuse of the exhibits and/or the facility will not be tolerated. The HOSC reserves the right to eject any group who is being disruptive to other guests and/or not following the HOSC safety regulations and rules.
